Drau Cycle Path
Total length: 366 km – when starting from Villach, the the most varied section lies ahead of you. Alternatively, you can also use the Drau Cycle Path transfer or the train for some of the distance.
TIP: From the Rosegg power plant, follow the R1c cycle path to Lake Faaker See and back to Villach.
Warmbad-Villach-Lake Faakersee Circular Tour
Total length: approx. 25 km – follow the cycle path (R3D – links to R3) to Warmbad, Müllnern and then to the church in St. Stefan. The path continues through unique Finkensteiner Moor to Faak am See. Proceed around Lake Faaker See via Egg to Drobollach and via Mittewald to Maria Gail. After crossing the bridge, you follow the cycle path to Magdalen and along the rivershore (R1) back to Villach.
Lake Ossiacher See Cycle Path
Length: approx. 29 km – take a detour from the Drau Cycle Path to Landskron and continue to Annenheim. The path leads past Sattendorf, Bodensdorf and Ossiach back to Villach.
FOR SPORTS ENTHUSIASTS ON MOUNTAIN AND ROAD BIKES: GERLITZEN, DOBRATSCH
Villacher Alpe/Dobratsch Mountain
Length: 16.5 km; difference in altitude: 1,407 m; max. decline: 10 %, asphalt road.
Route: Leads along the Villach Alpine Road past viewing platforms and the famous Villach ski jump.
Tip: Alpingarten, alpine inns for refreshment stops.
Length: 25 km; difference in altitude: 1,400 m; max. decline: 10-13 %, asphalt road. Route: From Villach to Bodensdorf at Lake Ossiacher See and along the Gerlitzen Alpine Road to Bergeralm. Back to Bodensdorf either on an unpaved path or via the Alpine Road. Many alpine chalets are to be found along the way to the summit - perfect for a rest and refreshments.
